The legal percentage of light able to pass through a windscreen on a vehicle registered before 1st April 1985 is 70%.
Any vehicle registered after 1st April 1985 to present must have at least 75% light transmission to comply with current UK legistration.
Current UK legistration states that both the drivers window and the front passengers window of all vehicles must have 70% light transmission to be road worthy.
